I SHOOT LIGHT. I DESIGN PHOTOS. My background is one of visual communication, design and photographic illustration. Experimentation, exploration and digital manipulation are at the forefront of my artistic development. I photograph, fragment and reconstruct light and space using mathematical mappings, algorithms, and distortion techniques. Symmetrical patterns that draw on my love of folk art and tribal design often emerge… or they may explode in asymmetrical chaos. My current work reflects a fascination with color as a function of light and the way the two interpenetrate. Contemporary architectural detail and the indigenous arts of the American Southwest, Latin America and North Africa influence my work. I enjoy captivating and challenging those who view my work, and invite collaboration with art consultants, designers, architects, advertising agencies, corporations and creative thinkers.
